First off, I want to give a big thank you to the developers of
OpenSSI. This is a great project and I'm hoping I can use it at my
I've been reading the docs and testing OpenSSI 1.2.2 on Fedora Core 2.
I have a few questions that I hope someone can answer for me.
After booting up a 2nd node, I try to start httpd:
# service httpd start
Starting httpd: [ OK ]
Starting httpd: (2)No such file or directory: httpd: could not open
error log file /etc/httpd/logs/error_log.
Unable to open logs
/etc/sysconfig/loadlevellist contains /usr/sbin/httpd. Am I missing
/etc/sysconfig/loadlevellist also contains /usr/libexec/mysqld, but
when I start it, I get:
Starting MySQL: [ OK ]
But nothing for node 2...
Running "service --status-all" shows:
httpd dead but pid file exists
mysqld dead but subsys locked
Why are these processes reported as dead? I can still connect to the
services. And are these processes really able to run over both nodes?
Last general question... what happens if the master process for
Apache, for example, dies because the box crashes, etc.? Is a new
master process automatically created on another node and the children
Thank you for your time.
