Not exactly. You might be able to do the following (assuming 2 nodes A and B): 1. change the config files and run the mkinitrd, etc. 2. clusternode_shutdown A (will cause B to take over); =20 3. boot up A with the new addresses. It should in affect be split-brain (won't join the old cluster since the ip addresses don't match); 4. reboot B into A's new cluster; =20 Anything done in the root filesystem on B after A leaves the cluster will be lost since you will be running on A's root image (which may have to propogate to B). Haven't tried it but it might work. This wouldn't be at a good idea with shared disks. You would have to have a second copy of the root that A booted off to form the new cluster. Is it possible to: 1. change the config files 2. mkinitrd on master node 3. reboot master node (the 2nd node will still offer services using the old IP's) 4. once rebooted, mkinitrd for the slave node 5. reboot the slave node Xavier -- echo '16i[q]sa[ln0=3Daln100%Pln100/snlbx]sb20293A2058554E494Csnlbxq'|dc On Wed, 20 Apr 2005, Gopalakrishna NM wrote: > Hi, > Recently I tried to change the IP address of the cluster once the=20 > cluster is setup and could bring cluster up successfully with new IP adddress. > I did following steps: > 1. Since we've already determined that if you are running shared root, you have to move the whole cluster at once. Why not run ssi-ksync before moving? I only see mkinitrd being mentioned. -Roger On 4/20/05, Walker, Bruce J <bruce.walker@...> wrote: > Not exactly.
