I have not been able to get CVIP to work like I think/hope it should and
I'm hoping someone may be able to help me out.
I've got two identical 1U servers with 3 nic's. I've got RH9 and the
latest non-cvs RPM's from openssi.org installed on node1, with node2 being
Eth0 is the interconnect, with node1 using 192.168.1.1 and node2 using
Eth2 is connected to an external segment and is using 188.8.131.52.
This is the IP defined to dns with the external cluster dns name.
I've defined this address in the cvip.conf with node1 as director and
node1 & node2 as real servers. All the services are activated on boot.
Both node1 & node2 have ifcfg-eth2 in the network-scripts dir with a
gateway IP of 184.108.40.206.
After booting up both nodes, node1's ifconfig shows:
While node 2 shows:
Both nodes show a default route to 220.127.116.11 via eth2.
I can ping the gateway from node2, but not node1.
Hopefully all this verbage makes some sense. Any help gratefully accepted.
