I need your feedback on NFS startup script. The package names available
for NFS on debian are :
The startup script (under /etc/init.d) has same name for starting NFS
services. Looking at Fedora distribution, there is a separate startup
script (SSInfs) which does ha-lvs checking etc. and finally invokes the
"nfs" startup script which really executes the rpc* daemon.
Should we do similar thing or let's modified nfs-kernel-server script to
check for ha-lvs etc. if it is running on cluster and execute rpc*
(mountd , nfs dt etc). In the same script if it is not a cluster , it is
possible to run in the normal fashion. Finally ssi user should be in a
position to do "apt-get install nfs-kernel-server" and it should be
picked from openssi repository and install on his/her system.
But , idea behind having separate script in Fc case might be:
an option to run nfs startup script irrespective of CVIP , ha-lvs etc.
Please let me know your feedback/thoughts how we can go about this..
