Along with that there is a support for Cluster file system as root partition.That means if needed one can make all the I/O go through the root vnode explained in your paper. In fact i guess one can also layer GFS on top of hardisk and make sure all the vnode can access the disk. opengfs works with SSI project. The code is layered in such a way that the node-to-node communication is done by a layer called CI. right now it use IP but then can be extended to make use of any methods Adeos provides. Again the architecture is so modular one can add more membership service either in the user space or in the kernel space with no modification to the existing code. That brings in the flexibility of adding many new features. The setup already support a cluster wide IP using LVS. It also have cluster wide message queues with semaphore and shared memory being worked up. That eliminates all IPC related stuff. > > Best regards, > > Karim > -aneesh |
