Aneesh, you are jumping the gun a little bit. I think that Bruce was just asking for comments. Also, I'm trying to get NFS server code working which is impacted by this change. I was planning on making the conversion of nodename/clustername vs. hostname as part of the NFS server changes. The conversion also impacts NFS client code. I was also planning on changing the command openssi-tools/net/node_hostname.c to do the clustername instead. I will be renaming that command and the system call it uses to put the clustername into the kernel. Bottom line: I would wait before making any changes in Debian.
