If you are using a "private" network address for the interconnect (10.x.x.x or 172.168.x.x, etc.), you will have to use NAT if you want the "interior" nodes (nodes which only have the interconnect interface and no direct interface to the outside world) to get to the outside world. If you are not using private addresses, you just need the gateway/route, which you are allowed to change. Changing it is distribution specific. You can run redhat-config-network on FC2 to set it up. =20 On Debian you can create stanzas in /cluster/node2/etc/network/interfaces to add the gateway.
