In my opinion, the best openSSI can help here is by offering CFS (Clustered file system). That way, your data is accessible regardless in which node (computer) it runs. As you said, you already run Oracle Grid Engine, so I guess you already have good foundation to form the grid. OpenSSI can indeed does process migration, but not thread migration.
