[Ssic-linux-announce] Any word on the status of versions supporting the 2.6x kernel?

At Emory Libraries we're encountering serious issues with conflicts 
between kernel 2.4.22-1.2199.nptl-ssi-686-smp and the megaraid drivers 
required for our Dell hardware.  We know that moving to a 2.6 kernel 
will alleviate the problem.  Could you give an update to the listserv 
about the 1.9 release and its stability?
