Bounced. Sending again. ---------- Mailman fails to start only when CFS is turned on. I'm running latest SSI kernel from CVS (up to about Dec 12th 17:00 UTC) and OPENSSI-FC utilrpms on FC2. I've asked Mailman to see if it is a Mailman issue, but according to this guy from RedHat apparently not. I was able to start the same Mailman version on a NFS client running RH8 (Vanilla kernel-2.4.27 Python 2.2.1). I was able to start Mailman on the initnode with Fedora Core 2 supplied kernel-2.6.5. With the SSI kernel, I had to turn off CFS before I could start Mailman. http://mail.python.org/pipermail/mailman-users/2004-December/041347.html To replicate this issue in SSI. Install the latest Mailman from Fedora Core 2 updates. http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/updates/2/i386/mailman-2.1.5-7.i386.rpm Make sure CFS is enabled for ext3 local device. # service mailman start You'll see tracebacks. # service mailman start You might see a different traceback. To see if mailman is really running, # service mailman status # ps -ef | grep qrun Turn off CFS by editing /cluster/lib/cfstab and in initrd. Reboot. Now try starting mailman. -Roger |
