I have installed a development version on debian

I do apt-get install openssi
All works as expected.

But on reboot the system hangs with the following message:

WARNING: Could not find a NIC with a static node configuration.
Dynamically allocating an IP address and node number.
WARNING: Could not find the NIC used to add this node to the cluster.
Unable to continue. Halting.

The I rebooted with my standard sarge 2.6 kernel

And the file /etc/network/interfaces WAS EMPTY.

I have edited the file before the reboot and it looked good and I had internet access from the LAN nic and I could ping the cluster NIC.

Does anyone know the problem?
