#1 Output that uses <CR> only isn't handled right

When a process in a shell windows uses only <CR>'s at
the end of the lines instead of <CR><LF>, the view
"becomes confused" and shows more than the configured
number of lines in the browser. This forces the
end-user to page down to see the last line of output.
