Yes that is correct - when running sshguard from the prompt I get 
displays that a certain table is already existing (correct me if I am 
wrong) but when I then abandon that with Ctrl-C in my terminal session 
it stops any displaying but generate double entries in my blacklist.db 
file.
It indeed looks as if the process is not killed but the displays only?
