Bugs item #1008844, was opened at 2004-08-13 13:19 Message generated for change (Tracker Item Submitted) made by Item Submitter You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=1008844&group_id=31654 Category: ChanServ Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: crystal meth (syphere) Assigned to: Zoot (zoot) Summary: Possible bug in TopicMasking Initial Comment: When I !set enftopic 500 then !set defaulttopic 2,1« 12D0rug 12L0ordz of 12N0orth 12A0merica 12,2/1\0,1 cs12.0atlantic12.0CAL-o12.0invite 12,2/1\0,1 www12.0abouttocrash12.0net 2» then !set topicmask 2,1« 12D0rug 12L0ordz of 12N0orth 12A0merica 12,2/1\0,1 cs12.0atlantic12.0CAL-o12.0invite 12,2/1\0,1 www12.0abouttocrash12.0net 12,2/1\12,1 N0ews12: 0* 2» then !set enftopic 501 then !topic test, it does the every part of the topicmask correctly EXCEPT the triangles. My topic ends up looking like 2,1« 12D0rug 12L0ordz of 12N0orth 12A0merica 12,2/10,1 cs12.0atlantic12.0CAL-o12.0invite 12,2/10,1 www12.0abouttocrash12.0net 12,2/112,1 N0ews12: 0test 2» As you can see, it cuts off part of the triangles. I did ! set enftopic 500 and manually (with mIRC, not chanserv) made my topic 2,1« 12D0rug 12L0ordz of 12N0orth 12A0merica 12,2/1\0,1 cs12.0atlantic12.0CAL-o12.0invite 12,2/1\0,1 www12.0abouttocrash12.0net 12,2/1\12,1 N0ews12: 0test 2» and it didn't cut off the triangles. This looks like a bug with ChanServ's TopicMask function handling all the topic code. Please take a good look at the above topics if you haven't already done so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=1008844&group_id=31654 |

Given the help description of the command, it should probably apply to all ops, be they 200 or above up to 299. With the varying access levels being assigned (now that users are used to having different numerics) this command would be more useful with an update to bring it into line with the numerics. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=990185&group_id=31654 |

I am using a release of Bahamut as my IRC daemon, but unfortunately, somebody removed a vital line from hash.h in release 1.2.1. The line reads: struct policer command_policer; I had to add this line manually (see attached file lines 118, 119), so I ask anybody in charge of hash.h to update this in the upcoming release - or make a workaround in proto-bahamut.c. Though this error is fairly trivial, it might produce unnecessary complications to anybody running Bahamut. I just noticed this on Gamesurge. (-ChanServ- srvx 1.3 (surge), Built: May 14 2004, 12:51:34.) I have 3 clients connected to the network, all of which are authenticated to account infract. AuthServ's whois confirms this: [ AuthServ ] Current nickname(s): MiDrop infract nate (This will be explained from the perspective of the connection with nickname infract) When MiDrop, or nate connect and auth, i see the message, [ AuthServ ] Warning: MiDrop (~Mi...@S0...) authed to your account. However after a netsplit recovery, it seems that AuthServ does not iterate through a loop to discover all clients currently using my account, it only displays the first one. Example: 16:33 * @ChanServ (Cha...@Se...) Quit (*.net *.split) 16:36 [ AuthServ ] Warning: MiDrop (~Mi...@S0...) authed to your account. 16:36 * Join: ChanServ (Cha...@Se...) » 30 people 16:36 * Icarus.OH.US.GameSurge.net sets mode: +o ChanServ I don't know for sure, but I suspect that it only finds the nickname which comes first in the alphabet.
