Category: OperServ Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Jason (secretagentj) Assigned to: Entrope (entrope) Summary: Possible memory leak with CSEARCH Initial Comment: Not sure if you prefer SF or GitHub, so I'll just stick this here? Possible memory leak when using CSEARCH and not providing arguments for criteria. In opserv_cdiscrim_create(), line ~3648: if (i == (argc - 1)) { send_message(user, opserv, "MSG_MISSING_PARAMS", argv[i]); return NULL; } It simply returns NULL and doesn't free discrim, instead of jumping to fail and cleaning up first. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=3606964&group_id=31654 |

Category: HelpServ Group: 1.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: ZeRoFiGhter (zerofighte) Assigned to: Entrope (entrope) Summary: HelpServ: wrong responses for persist settings Initial Comment: Hi, in commit 671a213e001f8317536101c7ea63cb0e6de04175 ("Fix the name and type of helpserv_bot.persist_types[].") you made a minor mistake: in opt_persist (line 3205 in current git master) there is: helpserv_notice(user, persistence_lengths[idx].print_name, user_find_message(user, persistence_lengths[hs->persist_lengths[idx]].print_name)); but it should be: helpserv_notice(user, persistence_types[idx].print_name, user_find_message(user, persistence_lengths[hs->persist_lengths[idx]].print_name)); 2nd parameter should be persistence_types instead of persistence_lengths visible effect of this bug is that HelpServ replies just the text like "part" or "quit" for the persist types, instead of "ReqPersist part" and alike. regards, ZeRoFiGhter ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=3439987&group_id=31654 |

Category: ChanServ Group: 1.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: ZeRoFiGhter (zerofighte) Assigned to: Entrope (entrope) Summary: override vs chanserv.trim Initial Comment: hi, we just noticed some strange behaviour: helper with +g does a chanserv.trim while not having access at all. general command handling allows to execute the command (due to +g) and logs as override cmd_trim_users internally uses GetChannelAccess to check if the actor is allowed to trim which fails (as this does not check for +g, GetChannelUser should be used, imho, this checks for +g) so cmd_trim_users msgs "you lack sufficient access" to the actor, while the command is still logged as override 1.4 latest git, as usual ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=3081638&group_id=31654 |

Category: Miscellaneous Group: 1.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: ZeRoFiGhter (zerofighte) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: generate_hostmask produces wrong masks for ipv6 hosts Initial Comment: hi, i just authed (again) with authcookie and it added "*@120:d808:8000:*" while whois says "ZeRoFiGhte@2001:8d8:80:11::41b". This happened on GS ... i can reproduce it in the same way on our net using the latest git revision. A short look at the code (git) showed me: tools.c around line 133 (where it generates complete ip hosts [which works], e.g. for opserv.cmd_whois) looks very different from proto-common.c line 765 (the masks are generated, e.g. for authcookie) for me regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=3014507&group_id=31654 |

Category: ircu protocol Group: 1.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: David Herrmann (dvdhrm) Assigned to: Entrope (entrope) Summary: Glines won't get deleted Initial Comment: Source code is the most recent git source, that is, with the gline lifetime support. Under special circumestances, the srvx will not remove expired (i.e. expire AND lifetime in the past) glines from the gline-list. Reproducable: First go sure the list of glines is empty. Then: ?gline a@b 10y test1 ?gline a@b 1s test2 ?gline x@y 1s test3 wait 1s then: ?gtrace print mask x@y You will see, the gline with expire and lifetime = 1s (x@y) is still in the list and the lifetime is printed to be something around 800.000.000 years. After some research I discovered that the gline heap in gline.c was previously sorted by expiration time but the lifetime-patch did not update "gline_comparator()" to sort the heap by lifetime. So fixing this could be done by changing line 55 of gline.c to: "return ga->lifetime - gb->lifetime;" David Herrmann ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=2985089&group_id=31654 |

Category: None Group: 1.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: ZeRoFiGhter (zerofighte) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: channelmode +z and !set modes Initial Comment: hi, i mentioned this some days ago in #srvx ... gonna explain it here as well. Situation: srvx (with offchannel enabled) always adds +z to the !set modes (on startup), but doesn't allow !set modes command executed with +z somewhere in there. For users it's confusing ... they have the modelock want to change it, so they take the old one and make their changes and want to set it back and (often) it happens +z is in there, so srvx rejects. Comments as they appeared on #srvx: <ZeRoFiGhter> imho it would be good if the mod_chanmode_parse method would generally allow +z (not -z) even if the flag MCP_REGISTERED is given (proto-p10.c) <+ThiefMaster> never showing it in !set modes *and* ignoring it when setting it manually would probably be the best solution <ZeRoFiGhter> fine with me also ... version is srvx 1.4 latest git regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=2970686&group_id=31654 |

I didn't do further research yet, but i noticed the channel ban list (as shown in ?chaninfo, not !bans) is not cleared. The variable to use as array index is 'j', not 'i'. === if ((reqlist = dict_find(helpserv_reqs_bynick_dict, user->nick, NULL))) { for (j=0; j < reqlist->used; j++) - if (reqlist->list[i]->hs == hs) + if (reqlist->list[j]->hs == hs) break; if (j < reqlist->used) continue; === I'm not sure if it has any influence for your code ... combined with our patch set it has, but it's the req_join_check that does not really loop through the list because of this. regards ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=2946094&group_id=31654 |

Category: ChanServ Group: 1.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: ZeRoFiGhter (zerofighte) Assigned to: Zoot (zoot) Summary: cmd_mdel_user might allow helpers more than it should Initial Comment: Hi, in cmd_mdel_user you have this check: if((actor->access <= max_access) && !IsHelping(user)) this potentielly allows helpers to override in nodelete channels. As far as i see it is prevented by the default bindings and access restrictions, but we currently think to implement a more generic mdeluser command (additinal to mdelpeon etc.) where you can supply the range yourself. It should be fixed by removing the IsHelping check. actor->access already is Helper access by GetChannelUser if the user is allowed to override (with respect to nodelete), so this check is not needed. Szenario to test: use modcmd to allow usage of mdelcoowner with channel_access 300 use !mdelcoowner in a nodelete chan (while having 300 access and flag +g without nodelete opserv level) and it will work without that check it won't work. version: 1.4 latest git ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=2924219&group_id=31654 |

Category: ChanServ Group: 1.4 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: ZeRoFiGhter (zerofighte) Assigned to: Zoot (zoot) Summary: inkonsistent chanserv ban behaviour Initial Comment: I already explained it a while ago ... now i'll formulate it over here: The ban behaviour for ChanServ-bans (addban, addtimedban) is inconsistent. If you join a channel where such a ban matches you, chanserv kicks, even though you join through an invite. If you change your nick or auth to an account chanserv doesn't kick even if a ban now matches. Imho ChanServ-bans (not !kickban or !ban, just addban and addtimedban) should always lead to kicking the user. version: 1.4 latest git ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=403001&aid=2885600&group_id=31654 |
