I would like to request ChanServ have extra info when
replying to informational requests such as asking for
channel user list via /msg ChanServ USERS #channel .
Currently an example of the following would be like:
-ChanServ- #channel users from level 1 to 500:
-ChanServ- Access Account Last Seen
Status
-ChanServ- 500 handle Here Normal
-ChanServ- 400 handle2 Here
Normal
I would very much apperciate if the ChanServ would tell
you when it is done listing users or whatever it is listing
with something like the following notice:
-Chanserv- End #channel users list.
This would be simular to how the server tells an irc client
that it has ended a listing in a raw. An example of this
is if I did /who #channel and got the following:
#channel nick G@x name@handle.user.network :0 name
#channel nick2 G@x name2@handle2.user.network :0
name2
#channel End of /WHO list.
My personally reasoning for this, is that I am a scripter,
and I would like to scripted some automated actions for
when it has collected all the info from something such as
a ChanServ user listing. However, technically, at this
time I cannot be sure that ChanServ is done with its
listing. I can of course I can set a timeout, but network
lag would make it possible for the timeout to be
incorrect.
I thank you for reading this and your time. I apperciate
the work you have done with these irc services. I bid
you good day.
Sincerely,
insane (*insane on GameSurge)
