Hi Amin. > I have setup my squrillmail again and it is working fine. > > Now I had my previous preference and settings. If you don't know where the data directory is, check: config/conf.pl 4. General Options 2. Data Directory or config/config.php $data_dir If the old setup is gone, so is your previous settings, address books and so forth. Don't forget to set the right file permissions. Sincerly, Fredrik. |

1. are you running php in safe mode? create file named test.php in your squirrelmail install directory. put "<?php phpinfo(); ?>" code there. without double quotes. Open this file in browser (http://your-squirrelmail-host/some-path/test.php) and check your php configuration options. Please note, that if your squirrelmail data directory is not in squirrelmail tree, you need to check it's php settings too. 2. which user owns those preference files? 600 gives owner read and write permissions 733 gives owner read, write and execute permissions, group and other can only write or execute the file. -- Tomas > I know which one is new and old directory. > > I have tried to copy from old directory to new and I have permission 733 > and also 600. > > it gives error opening error. > > Amin > >> Hi Amin. >> >>> I have setup my squrillmail again and it is working fine. >>> >>> Now I had my previous preference and settings.
