Hi all,
I installed the addressbook import-export plugin. Just now I wanted to
upload a CVS file exported from Thunderbird. However, this file is 49Kb in
size. Next to the file selction dialog, however it is indicated that there
is a 5Kb upload size limit (!!), and no indeed it won't accept my import
file. My file has around 500 addresses; so 5kb would allow only 50
addresses, which isn't very generous.
I found this hard to believe, and just took a look at the php files for this
plugin and searched the docs hoping that this is configurable or I could
hack the PHP, but alas I could find no mention of this or where it is
hardcoded. If you try to upload a file >5kb, Squirrelmail returns the error:
Upload error
The uploaded file exceeds the MAX_FILE_SIZE directive that was specified in
the HTML
I grepped MAX_FILE_SIZE *.php in the plugin directory likewise with no luck.
The only thing I could find was this variable: $abook_lookup_threshold
which is set to fifty. Coincidence? I set it to 600, but it did not affect
the upload limit.
Moving on, I see on the plugin page
<http://squirrelmail.org/plugin_view.php?id=29>, under version Version 0.9,
Mar 27, 2005, it states:
[...]
Removed import size limit from import form and made it configurable. v.0.8
changelog contains incorrect information and size limit is still present in
v.0.8 import form.
[...]
It would seem this fix was reverted. Anyone know what is going on here?
Thanks,
-Colin
