occasionally squirrelmail delays a long time before sending
messages...like up to 5 minutes. Has anyone else noticed this? It's not
every email, just occasionally. I have one particular user who is having
the problem more often than usual.
When it happens, it locks up the browser...if you shut it down, the
message still goes through, but the xdelay is usually upwards of 5
I don't think it's sendmail's fault...but it could be. When you send the
message, it locks the browser...i watch my logs, and it takes forever to
get any verification of the message.
If anyone wants setup - I have the latest version of squirrelmail,
sendmail 8.2.10 on redhat 9 with the default smp kernel

You might want to test for DNS and resolver library specific issues.
This links this come up from time to time, and are the result of a bad
DNS entry, or non at all, and special rules for relay checking.
