I'm at a loss as to what to do next. I have read all the FAQ and Squirrel user emails, but I still can't get this to work.
I have installed SM 1.4.0 and wanted to increase the upload limit from 2M to 5M, but have had no success.
I am using php version 4.2.3 and have set the php.ini entries as follows:
With all the testing we have done, we have only been able to attach a files size of up to 3.5M as the largest file size attachment.
Any ideas would be helpful.

Did you restart your webserver after you altered php.ini? Also, insert a
file into your SquirrelMail tree (tester.php, or something similar)
<?php phpinfo(); ?>
And then look up those config parameters. Compare "local value" to the
master value. If they are different, you're using a htaccess file, or
configuring your webserver to use a different environment for that
