Hi --------------- Fully patched Win2K Pro SP4 and included IIS5 Mercury32 v3.32 (eagerly waiting v4) php 4.3.2 Squirrelmail 1.5.0 cvs (squirrelmail-20030729_0041-CVS.stable.tar.gz) --------------- Many thanks for whatever you have done :) The Search function seems to be working fine for me in cvs 1.5.0 Looks to be much improved too. Previously I had removed the Search option as I got errors in the results (date, subject and from were often blank or incorrect). Also I know longer have the option to create subfolders at all (in any folder included user created ones). This was how I wanted it in the previous version as I thought this is what was breaking the search function but I had to change the code to get it working this way. The only option I now have available is: [none]. Would be nice if I could now create subfolders but I can live with it as is for now. If anyone with the knowledge and inclination to take a look and try to fix this I can provide a url and account details. Also I now do not have the option to delete and rename the special folders. Before I did have this option and had to change the code to remove this option. The only folders available to rename or delete now are user created ones :) I did still get logon problems and had to make a small change in redirect.php as in earlier versions but this is not real problem. When I upgraded from 1.4.0 to 1.4.1 it was quite a painful upgrade, as I had to change all the code (mentioned above), the same as in the 1.4.0 version. It is much better now having a perfect working install just by running conf.pl and fixing the logon problem. I did get an error about the config.php being an old version when I first run conf.pl even though it was the one included with the download. I just deleted it (config.php) and let conf.pl create a new one. I have not installed any plugins yet but expect this to go well. I am not going to go live with this version until it is "stable" but again, many, many thanks for all the work so far. -- Paj |

Option). This was not working for me before in 1.4.0 but is now working perfectly in 1.5.0 cvs. I can now create 'folders in folders' of a sort and exactly how I would expect to with Mercury as the IMAP server. One thing I have noticed in testing is a file is created in the Mercury mail folder for any user when using SM but is not when using Pegasus mail. The file is called: IMAPSUB.PM Is this anything to worry about? All my plugins seem to be working fine too :) -- thx. Paj |

Open it under Notepad and you'll see it's the user' subscribed mailboxes list. So maybe you should worry if it's not there ;) Glad the 1.5 fixes almost all the issues you got. Maybe you could give more details on your last problem. Alex. |

I guess Mercury creates the files dependant on the way the client communicates with it? > Glad the 1.5 fixes almost all the issues you got. I found a fix on one of the archives when I first installed Squirrelmail: -------------------------------------- In: \squirrelmail\src\redirect.php comment out: header("Location: $redirect_url"); and directly underneath this line, enter: echo "<html><head><META HTTP-EQUIV=\"Refresh\" CONTENT=\"0; URL=$redirect_url\"></head><body><a href=$redirect_url>Enter</a></body></html>"; -------------------------------------- Not a problem though. Only takes a few seconds to put right. -- thx Paj |

I think Pegasus uses file sharing, hence the warning of using both Imap and Pegasus at the same time (would cause file corruption) > No problem. It happens when I try to logon. Only takes a few seconds to put right. I believe this is related to your web server. I'll leave this one to more skilled people... In the mean time, it seems you can live with this patch ;) One warning, though, if you want to use 1.5 on a production basis. Be aware that every forthcoming 1.5 snapshot may be broken anytime, since it is the branch where new things are tested out. So, if you think you have one that works, keep it precisously ;) Good luck, Alex. |
