I had already asked this quetions in squirrelmail-users without result.
Hopegully somebody can help me here.
When moving to a new webmailserver we have been getting at random times
the following message from Squirrelmail in all tested browsers:
At all times, mostly during login...
"You must be logged in to access this page"
Sometimes just clicking on the folder list on INBOX allows you to
continue, sometimes it just screws up completly and the only way out is
We already surfed and searched a bit and tried the following to no avail:
1/ As mentioned in bug 542724, we modified src/redirect.php:
echo "Enter <http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/$redirect_url>";;....
(see bug for rest)
This doesn't help much.. Altough clicking on the Enter before it
autoredirects gives you a webmail.php (inbox) page with the SID in the
URL! -> meaning PHP fell back to URL-coded SID instead of cookies. So
there must be a problem with the cookies.
2/ Played around with following php settings:
php_value session.gc_maxlifetime 28800
php_value session.cookie_domain "webmail.domain.com"
3/ Set following option in Apache for webmail server:
all without any success. As this server has to move into production
soon, any advice would very, very welcome...
I already compared settings on old server, with new one also finding
old server: Apache/1.3.20, PHP/4.1.1, SM 1.2.4
new server: Apache/1.3.24, PHP/4.1.2, SM 1.2.6
