Subject: Possibly the core functionality of a very useful plugin
<<gotmail_fetch.tar.gz>> Hello Luke.
This is the a hack to mail_fetch(basically just using the plugin code rather
than the mai_fetch code) that I have put together using the gotmail.pl perl
script that can check hotmail accounts, and forward them onto your
I have included the full gotmail package, with all the contents, so as not
to try and do the author out of any credit (just commented out some of the
echoed messages to tidy up the screen output).
Unfortunately I'm not sufficiently a good enough Perl or PHP coder to be
able to fully convert gotmail from Perl to a full PHP solution, anyone else
id free to take it up.
I have got it working so that it will allow you to put your hotmail logins
and passes into an options page that is written to your user prefs file, and
to include a link to the hotmail fetch page, which quiries hotmail, and runs
around the myriad redirects, collects any new mail, and forwards it to you
account that uses squirrelmail.
Hope this of use to someone more experienced than me to do something with.
As it stands, with a little tweaking, what I have works to the level I need.
