I'm wondering why there's a motd plugin when the configure script already
does that... Next thing I expect to see is a "Reply" plugin which will let
you reply to a message. :-)
Can anyone explain the significance of the MOTD plugin, or rationalize why

I have never released mine but I do have one. I find it much smoother to run
the demo site with my MOTD plugin because:
1. Easily adds HTML and formatting without changing code or config
2. No need to redo something every time a new version comes out.
3. I am lazy
4. I wanted to see how hard it waas to write one. ( I can't be sure on this one
as it was very long ago)
5. make any text or HTML appear wherever you want throughout the program.
ie. in login "HELLO"
in right_main "This is the message index"
in compose "No way you moron"
and so on.
