Hello, Finally I managed to solve some nasty bugs in the message source plugin. Changes: *)In the new release the entity index numbering is correct (at least with my test messages) *)Generating the message became a lot quicker. *) Some minor layout changes Please test the plugin. Regards, Marc Groot Koerkamp |

I have a bunch of programming books I don't use very much anymore, so I thought it would be fun to set up a contest to give them away. So, I'm now announcing the LiquidMarkets SquirrelMail XML Export Challenge. If you are the first person to write and distribute an open-source plug-in for SquirrelMail by 2002-04-17 18:00 EST that meets the following requirements, you will win 5 books. Requirements: 1) With this plug-in, you will be able to export all of the messages in a selected folder to an XML document. 2) The XML document will contain descriptions of at least the following fields for each message: a) From, b) Reply-To, c) To, d) Subject, e) Date, f) message body, g) message location (folder) (note: to simplify things, complete folder hierarchies do not need to be handled. So if a message is in Programming/PHP, only the folder name PHP needs to be recorded). 3) The plug-in should not require anything extra to be compiled into PHP other than what SquirrelMail requires. In particular, it should not require PHP to be compiled using --with-xml. (Importing should probably be done with expat, but exporting is just generating strings, so it should be easy to do even without expat). 4) The code should be free and open source (under a OSI-approved license. See http://www.opensource.org/licenses/) I have no complaints if someone develops the plug-in as a high-quality commercial product, but then, I figure, the monetary rewards will probably be greater than this prize. Prizes: - Java in a Nutshell, Second Edition - Java Servlet Programming, 1st Edition - JFC: Java Foundation Classes - Linux Complete Command Reference - Physical Chemistry with Applications to the Life Sciences This contest description is also at http://www.liquidmarkets.com/m.php?m=rating&cat=programming&iid=77 I will post any updates to the contest at this URL. _________________________________________________________________ Join the worlds largest e-mail service with MSN Hotmail. http://www.hotmail.com |
