I tried to email the plugin developer about this, but his address is
I had to implement the Change SASL Password plugin on a box where the
sasl realm for the passwords (mail.antsclimbtree.com) was different
than the server's domain (lilbuddy.antsclimbtree.com). Password
changes would appear to work, but would have no effect because cyrus
was authenticating using a different realm. I made a quick hack to
fix this, by doing the following in options.php:
Changed line 60 from:
$fh=popen("$chgsaslpasswd_cmd -p $username","w");
$fh=popen("$chgsaslpasswd_cmd -p $username" .
This is surely better implemented using a variable in the plugin's
config.php, and perhaps even providing an option to authenticate with
the user's full email address, to provide for cyrus's virtual domains
In any case, I wanted to get the developer's two cents on this, to
see if I'm missing something. I would be happy to help improve the
code in this area, if I could. Does anyone know how to contact the
plugin developer? Or perhaps he is on this list...
