This might be a server issue rather than a squirrelmail one. May I
suggest you take squirrelmail out of the loop and connect to your imap
server / postfix directly. Since you are using a hosting provider may I
suggest you use ssh to set up a tunnel and port forward your smtp and
imap ports. Then use a standard email client (thunderbird whatever) to
create an account using the local ports which are forwarded through the
For example you can localforward 70143 on your local machine to 143 on
the mail server, and 7025 local to 25 on your mail server (and/or
whatever other ports you are using for smtp/imap). Then create an email
account using the localhost:7025 and localhost:70143.
ALso I would watch the log files on the server and look for
errors/details - sounds like corruption in the cyrus side of things is a
possibility (database or otherwise). This you can do independent of
access via webmail or direct.
