When someone asks for a read receipt (or say you send yourself a mail asking
for one), the first time you view the msg a confirm dialog pops up asking if
function, which basically reloads the message with "&sendreceipt=1" appended
to the url. Cept this function is only outputted in the html of the page if

Attached is my quick-fix patch for page_header.php in the 1.4-STABLE branch.
It's not very optimal, since it's now going to print out the sendMDN function
on every message read. Naturally it's invisible to the user, but it's still
extra bytes. Someone smart (with cvs access) may want to take it a step
further and add in the same checks used in read_body.php where it actually
