SquirrelMail is an IMAP client. You need to have an IMAP server that it
can connect to and you use login credentials for the IMAP server to log in
to SquirrelMail. Maybe you have Dovecot or another IMAP server on your
system, but if not, that's where you need to start. Please read the
documentation on getting started in the Squirrelmail docs directory or on
our website.
