[SM-DEVEL] New SquirrelMail release

So what exactly is holding up a new SquirrelMail release (.e.g. 1.4.23)?

Looking at the list the last post I see commenting on this indicates a
release would be "soon" and then over a year has gone by. The situation
is pretty ridiculous when the latest release is not compatible with the
last *3* PHP releases and it has been over 3 years since the last
release.
