But according to the Ubuntu/Debian documentation the supported locales are listed in /usr/share/i18n/SUPPORTED And when I look there, I'm getting: # fgrep -i jp /usr/share/i18n/SUPPORTED ja_JP.EUC-JP EUC-JP ja_JP.UTF-8 UTF-8 (both of which are enabled already). iso-2022-jp is nowhere to be seen.
