[SM-STABLE] 1.4.0 Configuration corruption logging in as another user

On 1.4.0, if you log in as one user, say "user1", then log out and log in
as another user, "user2", all of "user1"s personal information ( name,
email address etc ) is copied & saved into user2's profile.

Is there a fix? Can this be confirmed as a bug?
