I checked this against a fresh install of SM 1.2.5 following the directions in 
db_prefs.php.  It works for me with no errors.

I'm running Mandrake 8.2, PHP 4.1.2 (official Mandrake RPMs) and MySQL 3.23.47 
(also from Mandrake).  I'm assuming that the two bug reports are related and 
have more to do with the user's setup than SquirrelMail.
