The "Folder Preferences" option "Enable Collapsable Folders" begs for a related new option: "Collapse all folders by default", which I hereby submit for the kind consideration of Squirrelmail developers.
I have a large tree of >2600 subfolders, and it's a real pain having to manually collapse all the branches of the folder tree in order to get an overview.
Why not let it be up to the user to decide that the folder tree should be collapsed by default ? This is the default in my other mail-reader, Thunderbird.
I suggest that the new option "Collapse all folders by default" could be placed right below "Enable Collapsable Folders". I hope that such a new feature won't be too difficult to implement.
Let me add that I and others have been longing for years for collapsable folders to work in Squirrelmail, and it's apparently only with version 1.5.1 that it's finally working as expected when using a Dovecot IMAP server with mailboxes in mbox (Sendmail) format.
