Just something for the wish list.

I'd really like some sort of iPhone-specific interface. Squirrelmail is usable from an iPhone but it's difficult.

SquirrelMail itself probably won't ever have something specifically designed for a proprietary product. It is already possible to have an iPhone-specific interface if you use 1.5.2 and build your own template set. However, it might be best to wait until the template structure matures and stabilizes before investing the time to build such a "skin" for SquirrelMail. When it does, we hope that people like yourself will contribute such skins, just like plugins are contributed by third-party developers for SquirrelMail today.

I'll be sure to watch for the when the template structure is mature. I'd be happy to make a skin that makes it better on an iPhone. This certainly need not be iPhone specific but more mobile-device specific. Thanks.

I personally happen to be working on a mobile device skin set, which is nearing the top of my free-time work list, but it's still not a high prio for me. Watch the development and/or users and/or plugins mailing list(s?) for info when I am ready to share the code. We'd certainly love to have others contribute their own skins - if you are motivated, you could try it now, but the unstable nature of 1.5.2 means you'd need to update your skin now and again to keep up with core changes, etc. Thanks a lot for your interest.
