If this manifest is used rather than the default one
that Ant creates when building squirrel-sql.jar you can
run Squirrel from the command line with just:

java -jar squirrel-sql.jar

rather than:

java -cp
squirrel-sql.jar;lib\jdom-b4.jar;lib\xerces.jar;lib\skinlf.jar;%CLASSPATH%
com.bigfoot.colbell.squirrel.Main

Unfortunately one problem with using the -jar option is
that all user classes are loaded either from the jar or
from any class-path entries in the manifest file from the
jar. I don't know any way of using the current CLASSPATH
environment variable. CLASSPATH is needed in Squirrel as
JDBC drivers can be loaded either from a specified JAR or
    from the current class path.

I've reopened this patch as I now believe that you are
correct. Although the external classpath may be necessary
it would be very nice for Squirrel to be run simply by
double clicking the jar file. This should be applied to the
    next version 1.1beta3.

Applied to CVS and will be available in 1.1beta3.
