yes, JGoodies Plastic 3D with Sky Bluer theme is the default.
Good that the Look and Feel switch removed the lag. Since I never heard
of your problem before I wouldn't like to switch the default right now.
But if more people experience the same problem as you do I'll turn the
default to a Metal theme.
