[Squirrel-sql-users] older version jar of squirrel

i want to get it running with my older jdk which is 1.4.2
And i cannot upgrade it as it will screw up my other softwares
Do you know where are the versions 2.x for squirrel?

I dont want to too old which runs with 1.2+?

You have a couple of options.  You could download the 1.5/1.6 JDK and
install it on another machine, then zip up the directory and extract
it on your machine that runs SQuirreL.  Just be sure to edit
squirrel-sql.sh (on linux):

export JAVA_HOME=3D<path to extracted jdk>

or edit squirrel-sql.bat (on windows):

set JAVA_HOME=3D<path to extracted jdk>

Where I work, we develop and test our J2EE application using Java
1.4.2.  That is the installed version on my desktop machine.  However,
I always run SQuirreL and Eclipse in the latest VM (1.6) via the
method I outlined above.

Your other option is to go get 2.3.2 here:

All of my regular development work uses JDK 1.4.2.  I have my JAVA_HOME =
pointing to my JDK 1.4.2 distribution.  I have Java 5 installed for =
Eclipse, Squirrel, and several other tools.  It's perfectly fine to have =
multiple JDKs installed.=20
