Hello, All, I have found the Project "SQuirreL SQL Client", and very interested in it. Thanks to all of you for the great software. My problem is that the code of the project is too complicated for me. I wonder whether somebody have some more detailed documents and could give them to me. Thank you for reading my letter. Best wishes! birbird 2007-03-12 |

DB2 Plugin: Stored Procedures, Triggers and Views are shown in the object tree and have a "Source" tab which displays the source of the selected object and a "Details" tab which gives DB2-specific information about the object. Sequences and Indexes are also shown in the object tree and have a details tab giving DB2-specific information about them. --> Doesn't work with DB2 z\OS |

I would do it myself, but I have no access to that platform. Rob |

Hi gang. Another newbie with issues. I am trying to install squirrel on windows 8. Because windows 8 won’t let anything install without admin confirmation squirrel won’t install on default directory. It does install on c:\squirrel\ though. This is not my main issue but may contribute. The main issue is in the tree the tables leaf does not show any tables, therefore all the table info is unavailable for viewing. Pushing cntl-t says the tables are not found. Using sql does find the tables and fields with no problem. I do love the application, so let me know if I can make these go away. Thanks Dan Sent from Windows Mail |

Is this a database that uses catalogs (such as MySQL, SQL-Server or Sybase) ? Rob On Tue, Jan 22, 2013 at 4:01 PM, dan rasmussen <da...@ms...> wrote: > Hi gang. We have a document which provides a general overview of how to develop SQuirreL here: http://www.squirrelsql.org/paper/SQuirreL_us.pdf It concludes with an example plugin that shows you how to write a plugin that can be used to provide the source code of views that are selected in the object tree. Clearly, this is a small part of what SQuirreL can do, but it is meant to serve as an introduction. Please have a look and feel free to get back to us with any questions or suggestions. Rob |

I've started writing down some random thoughts on SQuirreL development that you might find useful. It is only a page at the moment, but I hope to expand it as time allows. It's called dev_notes.odt and it lives in the sql12/design directory. Also, if no one mentioned this before we use the sql12 directory for all development - it's name is no longer meaningful considering that the latest versions are 2.x :) The other 'top-level' directories are obsolete and are only there for historic purposes.
