I'm still running into issues with Squirrel SQL client and need some assistance.
I have Tried installing Squirrel 4.6 and installing an older JDK, but ultimately ended up with Squirrell 4.8 and JDK 22. I've double checked the environment variables and based on documentation, the environment variables are set correctly. But, I'm still running into the same issues. The two tabs in the Add driver screen below don't match the documentation and therefore, the documented workflow to add a driver doesn't work. Yet, when I try to add a driver, it throws a interesting error- It is looking for the class within the documented names for the two tabs (Java class path and Extra class path.)
If the UI had changed in v4.8 (names of the two tabs,) then why hasn't the documentation been updated to reflect this UI change? Based on the error below, It is looking more like there is an issue with my installation of Squirrel but, I have no way of verifying this, unless someone on this mailing list is willing to respond with some useful feedback...more than "Looks like they've been swapped in the latest version. I too was stumped for a few moments." - clearly not very useful information.
If the UI has changed, then how does one add a driver, now? Or what version of Squirrel and what version of the JDK should I install that matches the documentation?
When I tried installing Squirrel 4.6, I would have to install a version of the JDK that is quite old and the download site warned not to install it in a prod environment.
Anyway, sorry for venting. Some help would greatly be appreciated!

Are there any SQuirreL developers on this mailing list? If so, would it be possible to get some feedback from one of them regarding this issue?

Subject: Adding a driver window looks different from how it is described in the documentation
Hello Squirrel users,
I recently installed SQuirreL in a Windows 11 laptop and have found that the two tabs within the "Add driver" Window are both labeled differently
than what is shown in the documentation.
The Add driver Window in my installation of SQuirreL shows this:
[cid:image021.png@01DB951D.58E870A0]
While the documentation shows the two tabs labeled like this:
[cid:image022.png@01DB951D.58E870A0]
I have squirrel-sql-snapshot-20250216_2134-standard installed and
I have jdk-23_windows-x64 installed and JavaSetup8u441 installed.
It is unclear if the issue is a misconfiguration of SQuirreL or a compatibility issue with the JDK that I have installed.
Any help with resolving this issue will be greatly appreciated!
