Do you mean the 'Auto logon' or the 'Connect at startup' check boxes of
the Alias dialog? If so I can't reproduce a problem with non of these.

In a Session's toolbar there is the button showing a clock and a folder.
Settings from older versions that were available by this button were
lost during the update to 3.8.1. The button's tooltip says 'Open recent
or favourite file ...'.
