Glen: Sounds like this is something generated by the built-in record selection limiter which is set to 100 by default. If you un-checked the check box in the top right corner of your query window to the left of 'Limit rows' drop down box, would it still throw the same error? Subject: [Squirrel-sql-users] permanent 1064 error I used Squirrel often, with great success, on my laptop for 5 months, but the motherboard died. Reinstalled it on my new laptop, and using it with MySQL. I can connect to MySQL server and see the tables and their columns in the Object tab, but when I go to the SQL tab and enter a command - any command, from the simple 'show tables;' to a select command to obvious errors like selectxxx;, I get the same error: Error: You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'OPTION SQL_SELECT_LIMIT=100' at line 1 SQLState: 42000 ErrorCode: 1064 I have never entered an OPTION command. I have restarted Squirrel, same problem. Today I reinstalled it (v 3.5.1), making sure I checked the MySQL plugin, same error. ????? |
