I received notices (due to my subscription to SQuirreL notifications) that a new fw.jar was available. This was subsequent to the release of 3.4.0, and the notices mention only the fw.jar file, hence my question. If I understand you correctly, youre saying that all I need to do is replace the fw.jar file in the lib folder, that no further installation is needed than what has already been done. ? The SQuirreL installer places this file along with many other jar files in the lib/ folder. You shouldn't need to replace individual files in the this directory manually, unless directed to do so by a developer. The installer and the software update feature will do this for you.
