Hi John. Yes each SQL Server is setup to accept both Windows and SQL authentication (mixed mode).
I am able to login from my SQL Server 2008 Client via the management studio to each of these boxes. I just can't seem to connect via SQuirreL from my Debian 6 Linux box.

I can confirm that Squirrel does work with MSSQL2008R2 from W7 x64 using SQL Server logins. I am not sure that Windows Domain logins work.
Are you able to configure your server to accept SQL Server logins (Mixed mode)?
