One thing that helps is to open the alias properties and set it to =20 only load the schema(s) that you will use. Also, it really helps to =20 tell it not to load procedures. Those can take a very long time to =20 load. Beyond that, doing a query that returns 100+ rows does seem to take a =20= long time to load the data into the table.
