Later versions of the 1.2beta (we are currently at beta6) should
do a better job of connecting to different DBMSs than 1.1 did so
if you're having problems I'd appreciate some details. Maybe theres
something we can do to help. C-JDBC isn't something I've yet tested
SQuirreL with.

1.2 final is still a ways off. To give you a quick roadmap, beta7
should be out in the next couple of weeks. After that beta8 with
some UI enhancements (chiefly allowing multiple object trees
and SQL entry areas for a session) should follow quickly, the code
for this has already been written by Jason I just have to integrate
it with the current code base. Once thats done I'm intending to
freeze enhancing the code base and just test/bug fix. I'd say
we're 3 months from a stable release
beta7 will be the most _stable_ like of the betas so far but I'd
still be a little nervous about bundling it, having said that I use
it every day at work.
I guess you need to decide how long you can wait for a stable version
of 1.2. I'm hoping for it to come out in 3 months but my record of
estimating release dates so far is abysmal.
