If the problem has only occurred since the upgrade then it sounds like
the upgrade has caused the problem. Did upgrading the DB2 client also
upgrade the JDBC driver? And if so does the 8.1 JDBC driver
work with a 7 database server?

Subject: [Squirrel-sql-users] Duplicate values in tree, no values in tree
I am running Squirrel 1.2beta4 with JDK 1.4.2.04 on Win XP. I am using the
DB2 8.1 client to connect to a DB2 7 database running on OS/390.
When I open an alias, the metadata tree (tables, views, etc) will sometimes
not display in the connection window under the alias name. I try to
'Refresh Tree' or 'Refresh Item', the tree will still not display. When
this occurs, I can still issue SQL commands using the SQL tab without any
problems. When the tree does display, it duplicates items throughout the
tree. For example, I see about 15 entries in the tree for 'SYSIBM'. When I
expand SYSIBM, the contents are the same on all of the entries.
I recently upgraded from the DB2 7 client, JDK 1.3 and W2K. Under that
setup, I didn't have any of these tree display problems.
Any suggestions?
