Stroke me too after I updated my video drivers, *extreme showstopper* which puzzled me two weeks long. > Updating your video drivers may help or try passing > -Dsun.java2d.noddraw=3Dtrue to the Java executable. Alternative command line option: "-Dsun.java2d.d3d=3Dfalse", this disables *only* the Direct3D optimizations (the ones which conflict with the ATI drivers) thus still allowing some other optimizations.
