From memory the 4.x series of jConnect had its driver unpacked within the <jconnect>/classes directory and the 5.x series had the driver in jconn2.jar. I'll try to take a look at my Sybase setup tomorrow just to confirm that. If you are using the correct jar open up the Extra Classpath tab again and click the "List Drivers" button after selecting the jar file in the listbox.
