[Squirrel-sql-users] what is <identifier> mean for in SQLAliases.xml file ?

Hi everybody.

I had a look in the SQLAliases.xml file and I'm wondering what is the <identifier> tag made for.
Is it a unique key for aliases or is there an other mean ?
